You may not heard of Huawei but this Chinese company can build a damn good phone. The P9 Plus is the over-sized sibling to the original P9 that Huawei released earlier in 2016.
The full metal back design screams premium and holds up to anything that Apple and Samsung can pump out.
That square cut-out on the back of the phone is a finger print reader and it is one of the best on anyway phone, during my one week of testing the phone there was only one occasion where the reader failed to recognise my print.
On the front of the phone sits the 5.5- inch full HD display, on the right side of the phone you have your volume rocker and power button, along the bottom you have a USB-C connection with headphone jack.
What peaks your interest the most is the Black visor that runs along the top of the phone and houses two 12 megapixel cameras. One is your standard RGB camera that you’ll find on any phone and the second one only takes monochrome photos.
This second camera will reduce the need to use a third-party camera or editing app as you can see in real-time how your picture will look in Black and White.
Keeping your kids happy and entertained can be a demanding task for any parent and once you have them entertained it’s even harder to keep them that way. Most parents will give their child their tablet to play with but at some point it will be dropped or get damaged accidently.
An alternative is to get an Amazon Fire Kids Edition tablet for £99. This tablet is the ultimate device for kid friendly entertainment but can also help your children learn.
The Fire Kids Edition comes with a year of Fire for Kids Unlimited which gives you access to thousands of age appropriate educational apps, TV shows, and games.
For even more peace of mind Amazon back the tablet with a 2-year worry-free guarantee: If your kids break the tablet return it to Amazon and they’ll replace it free of charge, no questions asked.

As well as selling the top phones from leading manufacturers like Apple and Samsung, Vodafone has been heavily pushing their own brand of phones with a price point to suit practically any budget and the Smart first 7 is their cheapest phone yet.
Everyone’s favourite photo app is getting a big update today. Instagram has long looked outdated and even the app’s icon needed a fresh look but both the UI and icon seemed like they would never get updated.
Fresh of the success and critical of the Nexus 6P , Huawei are bringing their own flagship to a store near you.
Their latest offering is the P9 a phone that definitely looks the part and can stand toe-to-toe with just about any phone that’s out right now.
Currently Vodafone are offering the P9 at just £300 contract-free which is a very good price for a newly released phone of this quality and anyone thinking about giving this a go should considering picking one up at his price.
This past week here in the UK we’ve just had a bank holiday which is nothing special within itself but Google felt the need to give us a selection of movies for just £1.
As you can imagine the selection isn’t the greatest but a lot are worth a punt at a pound and you should note that not all films in this promotion are available to purchase at £1 some are their usually selling price but if this is the case it should be available to rent for £1.

A lot of phones have come and gone over the last few years but one of my all time favourites was the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact.
What made the phone so great was its small form factor, when most phones of the time were a minimum of 5-inches the Z3 Compact came in a 4.7-inches and due to its smaller screen and relatively big battery for its size you could routinely get 4-5 hours of screen on time.
